The town of Jonesboro, GA, is a suburb of Atlanta, about 18 miles south of the city. Many scenes from the 1977 movie “Smokey and the Bandit” were filmed in the city. The city also hosted the 1996 Summer Olympics beach volleyball competition.

The Jonesboro High School Majestic Marching Cardinals also have an impressive resume, performing throughout the south. In fact, they have marched in 13 parades in the past three years.

They’ve also performed in Chicago and Mexico, as well.

“Cardinals are known for the beautiful songs they sing,” stated Phil Purevich, Executive Producer of the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, “and when you hear the songs of the Majestic Marching Cardinals, you’re going to be blown away. This band is one that will stand out and grab your attention.”

You can catch this band, and the rest of the great talent of the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade, live from our VIP area. Find out more by visiting https://www.chicagothanksgivingparade.com/individual-sponsorship-2019/.
